13/0 Charlottes Opal AB White

Opal AB White are cloudy white beads with an added rainbow affect. The AB (or aurora borealis) finish, thought still subtle, is more pronounced on the opal beads than it is on other white beads, so it's the perfect choice for bead artists who want to emphasize the rainbow.

Opal beads have a cloudy translucent appearance. Light can pass through the bead, but the glass is not see-through, like transparent beads. Because the glass is translucent stringing material color can affect the overall appearance; beads strung on black thread will look darker than the same beads strung on white thread. Available in a limited range of colors, opal beads are the closest contemporary substitute for the historical "greasy" beads.

The opaque finish keeps light from passing through these beads. There is a wide variety of colors available in opaque. Combine with transparent, opaque AB and pearl finishes to add depth to your project.

Size 13/0 Charlotte Cut Beads measure approximately 1.6-1.8mm. Sold strung on "short" hanks, consisting of 12 12-inch strands. Approximately 3,000 beads per hank. Made in the Czech Republic.
