Description
The Opaque Medium Blue is a happy medium, if you will, between the light blue/periwinkles and the navy blues. The Opaque Matte Medium Blue, takes a slightly darker look than its regular opaque counterpart. This bead is great for detailing in tight spots, where you want to hide how hard it was to squeeze in that last bead.
Opaque glass does not allow any light to pass through the bead. This gives these beads a solid look that is still shiny. The matte finish mutes the shiny glass and gives these beads a softened appearance. Use matte beads next to gleaming, glittery luster or AB (aurora borealis) beads, to draw attention to the latter.
Seed beads are a very popular and time-honored option for any bead artist, whether your art is worn on the powwow trail, displayed in a gallery, or adorning a person. They are fairly uniform in shape and size. They can be used in virtually any beaded project, including applique or flat stitch, lane stitch, peyote stitch, loomwork, bead weaving, bead stringing and jewelry making. Since they are so versatile, we recommend using seed beads for beginning beaders, classes, and workshops.
Size 11 (or 11/0) Seed Beads measure between 2.0-2.2mm. The hole of the bead is at least 0.60mm in width. Sold by the hank; each hank contains 12 20-inch strands. Approximately 4,000 beads per hank. Made in the Czech Republic.
