11/0 Seed Beads Opaque Luster Amethyst

Opaque Amethyst is a subdued hue in the purple color family. Using this color next to turquoise/aqua blues (item #s ending with 5-) will draw out the purple tones. Or use to balance warm/fiery color combinations.

Opaque glass does not allow any light to pass through the bead. This gives these beads a solid look that is still shiny. Opaque Luster beads are shinier and flashier than their regular opaque counterparts. The luster affect tends to lighten the colors a little, so they can be used with regular opaques for shading and depth. Use with matte beads to draw out the shine of the luster beads.

Seed beads are a very popular and time-honored option for any bead artist, whether your art is worn on the powwow trail, displayed in a gallery, or adorning a person. They can be used in virtually any beaded project, including applique or flat stitch, lane stitch, peyote stitch, loomwork, bead weaving, bead stringing and jewelry making. Size 11 (or 11/0) Seed Beads measure between 2.0-2.2mm. The hole of the bead is at least 0.60mm in width. Sold by the hank; each hank contains 12 20-inch strands. Approximately 4,000 beads per hank. Made in the Czech Republic.
