Description

These child-size jingles are recommended for tiny tot and young junior dancers.

Anishinaabe Bimishimo is a new manufacturer of jingles, based in Manitoba, Canada. Anishinaabe Bimishimo was founded by Emilie McKinney, of the Swan Lake First Nation. Frustrated at the lack of locally made jingles, Emilie created a design and wrote a business plan. With help from her mother, Natalie Foidart, Emilie is growing her business, with the goal of giving back to her community. We at Bead & Powwow Supply are eager to offer our support and encouragement to Emilie, her family, and their community.

These Nickel-Plated Old-Style Jingles have a beautiful, deep sound. The design features a teepee, feathers, and Anishinaabe Bimishimo, meaning Anishinaabe (or native person) dancing by. These jingles are designed for an Old-Style appearance and they will darken over time. If you do not want your cones to darken, please choose another option. Shiny cones and other colors will soon be available from Anishinaabe Bimishimo and we will start carrying them as soon as we can.

Rolled child jingles measure 1 3/4" at their longest point. The top opening measures approximately 1/4" in diameter. Narrow or wide bias tape would work for these jingles. These jingles are hand-rolled and some variation in size is to be expected and tolerated. Anishinaabe Bimishimo just started manufacturing and are still waiting for their cone-rolling equipment to arrive; they hand-rolled this shipment for us, for which we are very grateful!

Sold in bags of 100. Made in Canada.
