Description

THEY'RE HERE!!!!!

Anishinaabe Bimishimo is a new manufacturer of jingles, based in Manitoba, Canada. Anishinaabe Bimishimo was founded by Emilie McKinney, of the Swan Lake First Nation. Frustrated at the lack of locally made jingles, Emilie created a design and wrote a business plan. With help from her mother, Natalie Foidart, Emilie is growing her business, with the goal of giving back to her community. We at Bead & Powwow Supply are eager to offer our support and encouragement to Emilie, her family, and their community.

These Jingles have a beautiful, deep sound. The design features a teepee, feathers, and Anishinaabe Bimishimo, meaning Anishinaabe (or native person) dancing by. See below for further discussion on the Anishinaabe language. Jingles are finished with a copper-colored coating. The inside of these jingles are nickel-colored. We recommend using an enamel or clear-coat on them to ensure the copper color stays.

Rolled jingles measure 2 5/8" at their longest point. The top opening measures approximately¼" in diameter. We recommend wide bias tape for tying these cones. Some variation in rolled-jingle width is to be expected and tolerated.

Sold in bags of 100. Made in Canada.
