13/0 Charlottes Opaque AB Orange

The bright hue of the Opaque Orange beads comforts and reminds me of tulips, tiger lilies, and the gorgeous wings of the monarch butterfly. This color has a vibrancy that is playful and wild, a perfect pairing for calmer yellows and reds in a fire themed piece.

Opaque AB - Opaque glass does not allow any light to pass through the bead. This gives these beads a solid look that is still shiny. Aurora Borealis (AB, for short) is the name for the rainbow affect. Opaque AB tend to have a subtle rainbow appearance that deepens the bead color. This is more pronounced on dark colors and warm shades. Use these beads next to transparent color to add depth or use an opaque matte bead to draw out the rainbow affect.

Charlotte Cuts have one or two facets per bead, which gives them a subtle sparkle. They are particularly popular for old style beadwork. Size 13/0 is small enough to get a lot of details into earrings and florals. They are also fairly uniform so they work well for peyote stitch and loom-work. We recommend a Size 13 beading needle and OO Nymo thread for these beads.
