Description

“Anishinaabeg are woodland peoples of the Great Lakes. Forests, trees, and plants have great meaning for us. So do green colors. When I look at this Transparent Dark Green bead, I imagine myself in the deep woods on a summer's day, gazing up through the canopy of maple and oak trees. The sun's light is filtered through the many layers of leaves, giving the world around me a green glow. This place is full of life; it's where medicines and food grow. Where four-legged creatures live and roam. Where birds sing and squirrels chatter. It is home for the mind, and the spirit.Ellie Mitchell, Owner of Bead & Powwow Supply

Silver-lined beads are a transparent bead with a silver-lining in the center. This silver-lining brightens these beads into a flashy, glitzy option. The silver inside the bead can tarnish if it is not cared for properly. To prevent tarnish, store beads in a dry, dark place. If there are silver-lined beads on your powwow outfit, allow it to dry before storing it in a breathable container.

Seed beads are a very popular and time-honored option for any bead artist, whether your art is worn on the powwow trail, displayed in a gallery, or adorning a person. They are fairly uniform in shape and size. They can be used in virtually any beaded project, including applique or flat stitch, lane stitch, peyote stitch, loomwork, bead weaving, bead stringing and jewelry making. Since they are so versatile, we recommend using seed beads for beginning beaders, classes, and workshops.

Size 11 (or 11/0) Seed Beads measure between 2.0-2.2mm. The hole of the bead is at least 0.60mm in width. Sold by the hank; each hank contains 12 20-inch strands. Approximately 4,000 beads per hank. Made in the Czech Republic.
